I have the greatest respect for Jewish Voices for Peace, and folks like this who simply speak the truth, particularly to corrupt power. In this case, eloquently and backed by facts, as so many voices are.

If he were the head of AIPAC, I would immediately support AIPAC, even send them a donation.

How hard is it to speak the truth? With a background in science, starting before but largely in 9th grade, when I learned "the scientific method," aka human logic at its best, I could not understand the issue. Though I have come closer to understanding that problem over the decades, I still strongly support anyone who makes their best effort to speak truth, from whatever their perspective.

In my run for U.S. Senate against Utah's Orrin Hatch, I posted many progressive ideas and principles that I internalized over the years. I'm leaving that site up indefinitely, since it describes what I believe most members of our species truly (more...)

I understand that some folks never felt comfortable with science in general, mainly and I'd add exclusively, because they never had a good science teacher. In 25 years teaching elementary school, I was amazed at how many teachers came to me with this issue. I tried to help, gave a few talks on the topic, did many science fairs, wrote articles for Learning Magazine, countless letters to the editor, did a video series for second and third graders (that I hope to post here soon, "The Dr. Gearloose Lecture Series"), that is done with earlier technology but still loved by many kids.

Meanwhile, while on the topic, I still recommend Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything." Though it does need some updating, as I've encouraged the publisher to do, but to no avail, since it still lays out in delightful detail the actual personalities who made "science history" and what they taught us--the updating should not be a large problem with a select team of scientists.

I know I'm off topic on my own link, but not too far off insofar as speaking truth.

I could listen to him speak for many hours, on any subject; thank you.
