voluptuous courtesan,
like opium wine,

in silken, pink&white
on a leafy chaise
the shade
of too-ripe limes

and beckons breathily
to some kind stranger

before my heady beauty withers
and worship me
with Pagan rites.

My untimely death
arrives no sooner
in the circle of your arms
than if I languish here
