An interesting question might be: which is the most inept, ineffective institution in this government; the totally dysfunctional Congress or the Supreme Court in which its controlling justices continue to blatantly misinterpret the U.S. Constitution?

That's actually not that difficult a question to answer because the evidence would seem to indicate that it's a tie, a dead heat, in that they both receive their marching orders and are controlled by the masters of Corporatism. So it's no wonder why America is weighed down with so many problems when we consider how these two most important institutions are now being operated by those who put the interests of the business world and their own ahead of those of this country.

This Congress is in a deplorable state, clearly recognized by the American people as the worst in the history of this country; the Republicans are ethical and moral failures while far too many of those on the other side of the aisle, the Democrats, who once were the bona fide representatives of the people, have become spineless creatures with little to no fight left in them.

There is a relatively small group of members of this Congress who I would exclude from this biting criticism who are above the low level politics. Those who are close observers of what goes on in that legislative body know who they are and know that they are sincere in carrying out their responsibilities. But the large majority of their controlled colleagues are collecting their salaries of $174,000 per year and doing absolutely nothing to earn them. When I hear people getting angry over government welfare these do-nothings in Congress immediately come to mind.

The Supreme Court, dominated by its five right wing ultraconservative activists dressed in judicial robes fully intend to shape the American judicial system to their own specific ideology that is directly tied to their masters who inhabit the Republican Party and Corporate America.

Let's talk about the pervasive influence of lobbyists in Washington and in this Congress. There are now something like 35,000 registered lobbyists, They are like a huge swarm of locusts that regularly descend upon Congress; they are everywhere, pressuring legislators, and, without question, issuing covert warnings about what happens if legislators buck the system; they write many of congressional laws and they "take good care" of those who remain subservient and submit and adhere to the Corporate Manifesto.

The Corporatists in charge are ravaging this country by decimating our manufacturing sector, gutting thousands of factories, and laying siege to America's workforce, the middle class, and eroding our consumer-driven economy. While, at the same time, their policies and actions have continued to contribute to the unemployment rolls, increased reliance on food stamps, directly caused home foreclosures, personal bankruptcies and have transferred the large portion of the wealth of this country to those at the top of the income spectrum.

They have poisoned America's election process with their dirty money, prostituted politicians, and have used every devious tactic at their disposal to evade paying corporate taxes. That, in a nutshell, describes what the masters of Corporatism are doing in and to America by exercising their control over their indentured servants in Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court.
