The Backstory of a GOP "Political Hit"
I've written a number of pieces that reference my termination from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where I had worked for 19 years in various editorial positions. Mounting evidence, which I will be reporting soon, reveals that this was a political hit, driven by Alabama Republicans who were unhappy with uncomfortable truths contained in my Legal Schnauzer blog.
It occurred to me that OpEd News readers might wonder about the backstory behind all of this. I got a number of such questions when I started writing a diary at DailyKos, so I prepared an outline of what led to my termination.
