Our correspondent in Syria's coastal area sent this update:
"The situation in Latakia continues to be safe, calm and normal (considering). We only have a few hours of electricity per day, because of lack of Fuel Oil to burn and generate electricity. ISIS has stolen our oil and sells it to Turkey, and President Erdogan of Turkey sells it to the European Union and he pockets to profits. The head of the EU openly admitted this. Everyone is making money of the blood in Syria.[tag]

We are surrounded by Jibhat al Nusra. Jibhat is the same as Free Syrian Army, and the same as Al Qaeda, and all of them have pledged allegiance to ISIS. Do not bother counting and listing the various NAMES of groups here, just say "Radical Islamic Terrorists" and you have covered them all. They are all cut from the same cloth.

These terrorists are killing unarmed civilians here daily. They don't target military. They are cutting off heads left and right. This is their "Fear-Factor".
However, the stores, pharmacies, grocery stores are all full of merchandise and people are swimming at the beach, and getting married, and having kids, and life goes on regardless.

We all hope the IRAN nuclear deal will have a positive effect here. We hope that Iran and USA, with Russia too, will push for a comprehensive political solution for Syria. However, nothing can happen until meetings are scheduled and dialog begins. So, when ????
Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army continues to fight back and has regained territory in many places. The Syrian Air Force is still very strong and bombing ISIS. When you hear CNN say the Syrian Arab Army is weak, that is a lie. They are weakened by 4 years of fighting and deaths, but they are always replenishing soldiers and these are real Syrian men, not foreigners. Men fighting for their country, and families.
CNN likes to say the Syrian Army is not viable, well they are everywhere, and they are fighting on many fronts."
