The first Youtube blackout was a huge success as far as participation. Youtubes hits for December 19th were the lowest they've ever seen and the strike was continued on the 20th and 21st. These blackouts will continue until Youtube re-instates accounts closed due to this strike and returns to it's previous operating policies of not censoring videos for political reasons.

here are some video links...

LegitimacyCoalition, the Youtuber who made the first Dec. 19th boycott video has been kicked off of youtube! When you try go to his channel it says that it has been "closed". And if you try to watch one of his videos it says "video has been removed by the user" this implies that he left voluntarily... but he did NOT!

There will be ongoing blackouts until these accounts are reinstated and Youtube ends it's new censorship policies. Thank you for your participation.

March 19 will mark the 6th anniversary of the 'Shock and Awe' campaign that launched the war and occupation in Iraq. Six long years of a war based on lies, a war that never should have happened. Six long years of death and destruction, of human suffering and economic waste. United For Peace and Justice and IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against the War) calls on people throughout this nation to join us in a national mobilization against this war. On the occasion of this horrendous anniversary next March, we will gather in massive numbers in Washington, D.C. to say enough is enough, this war must end, it must end now and completely!

Can't make it to DC? There are lots of protest being planned some in your town. Sign up at with a profile and your zip code and we'll send you info for your specific area.

Planned protest for March 13-19 2009:

IVAW and United For Peace and Justice will march on Washington DC. Several other groups are planning to hold sit down protest on major runways across the country freezing air travel for days. is asking members to protest locally infront of your reps personal residence or at local media outlets. Specific details and laws for holding your own local rally can be found here

There is also a 'Stay Home' strike called for the 13-19th no work, no school and no shopping. For a complete list of boycotts to end the war and those who profit from it go to
While we are glad to see some politicians talking about how they want the war to end, we've heard it before and know this will only happen because the people of this country keep raising their voices, keep taking action, keep pressuring their government to end this nightmare.
As the details of our activities in Washington, DC come together we will get word out far and wide. Now, we ask you to take note of this call, mark your calendars for the whole week, and start making plans for your community's participation in what will surely be a timely and necessary mobilization.
Send this URL to all your friends, post it to forums, put it on your personal pages,  There will be ZERO mainstream media discussion of this General Strike BEFORE it happens. ZERO. So, we must BE OUR OWN MEDIA and promote it. Link to this site from sites and blogs. Mention it with links in your comments on blogs. PROMOTE IT.
In just a few months Operation Iraqi Freedom will turn six years old. Planning has already begun for a large national assembly in Washington D.C. that just might serve to remind Congress and President Obama that "Yes We Can"...keep our promises to swiftly end the war in Iraq. The leaders are different, but the call for peace must be ever as loud as before.

The Constitutional Alliance has been helping legislators, officials and citizens groups across the country to understand the inherent dangers of biometric data collection and has helped to develop model legislation strengthening a citizen’s right to privacy and identity protection. The Alliance and other groups recognize that Oklahoma, will be looked to as a leader in protecting the rights and freedoms of its’ citizens.
The federal legislation known as the REAL ID Act of 2005 will be a key topic. This Act standardized, for the first time in U.S. history, the requirements for state driver’s licenses and identification card. The controversial federal law included requirements to collect personal biometric data on citizens, participation in a growing national/international database of personal data, and allowed for the global information sharing of data.
Currently, there is evidence that a stealth approach to re-introduce REAL ID-type legislation in alternate federal bills will happen early in 2009, by calling it something else.
States which were non-compliant with the federal REAL ID mandates were threatened with prohibiting those citizens without the new biometric driver’s licenses or identification cards access to government buildings or being allowed to board a federally regulated airplane.
Greece: More Protests, Mostly Peaceful
Thousands of students, protestors and anarchists marched through Athens on Tuesday, December 23rd and a gunman opened fire at a bus carrying 19 riot police officers. Two bullets hit the bus but no one was injured in the shooting, near a university campus in Athens. The anarchists chanted “cops are pigs and murderers” and waved flags in a largely peaceful protest during the third week of antigovernment protests since a teenager was fatally shot by the police.
Protest, demonstrations and general strikes will continue and are planned until the government steps down and holds new elections. Support the Greek resistence join here-
