It's Super Tuesday-eve, Truthseekers! What further madness might erupt before tomorrow's crucial primaries? Hillary seems confident in her assumed victories, even as mainstream Democrats say they prefer Bernie in their hearts.
And the Donald continues to dominate the polls, easily crushing Cruz and the Rube. Even his wishy washy stance on the KKK didn't put a dent in his popularity polls. What Does it take to topple the king? A resurrected Reagan? Silver bullets?
Want more proof we've slipped down the rabbit hole? Uncle Clarence Thomas drew gasps in the Supreme Court today when he asked a question. Ten of them, actually. First time he has spoken in "...forever. Literally. He has never uttered a peep since his confirmation lo those many years ago. Now that Scalia is no longer holding the springs, Thomas' jaw is working freely again.
And Rubio should leave the stand-up to Chris Rock. His attack on the Donald's spray tan and small hands fell as flat as his ratings. Speaking of Chris Rock, he was a wizard at the Oscars last night. Taking the race issue front and center with candor, humor, and honesty.
I remember one of his hilarious comedy specials years ago where he quipped that no white man would ever trade places with a black man, no matter what. He said, "they wouldn't trade places with me, and I'm rich!" Ask the white check-out guy at Safeway, he'll say..."naw man, I'm good."
In a year of compelling cinema, how great to see Spotlight take the honors, given the other two scandal-exposure flicks -- The Big Short and Bridge of Spies. We should be reminded as often as possible of the Catholic Church's centuries-old culture of child abuse. It hasn't stopped, Truthseekers, but cockroaches don't like the Spotlight. The more illumination, the safer the kids.
Too bad we don't have this caliber of investigative journalism anymore.
