The fact that you think that way means that Anti- Semitism had unduly affected you

From the comment addressed to me

Sh-sh. I feel so Anti- Semitic. Please, don’t tell anyone. I inadvertently revealed my inner self. What have I done! I simply stated that Israelis killed a lot of civilians in Gaza and that was horrible and wrong. And I also stated that I could say that whenever I wanted, to whomever I wanted and in any position I wanted, including the one when I attend a public bathroom. That’s what I did. I shouldn’t say that. Instead I should behave like the Fox News- deliver a balanced statement, ‘For many years those Gaza people bombarded totally defenseless Israelis with the sophisticated rockets they got in abundance from the US. It became obvious for the Israelis that all Gaza population was involved in that because they crowded in that small enclave and refused to leave no matter what measures were exercised by the Israelis. The blockade, the artificial supply choking, intimidation- all was in vain. Those fanatical people continued to not to love Israel and live with their families, entertaining themselves with rocket launching. They even continued to have schools and universities. There was no other way but to carefully prepare the operation and then shock and awe them Bushie style. Unfortunately, those houses happened to be full of women and children, so they died. What a horrible crime of Hamas! Israelis had no choice but to heroically destroy the city. They achieved a total victory and withdrew in order while Hamas in defiance continues to launch rockets.’

Yes, something like that would be fine. OOPs! What was that about the US? No, Salon was wrong: USA did not send weapons into Gaza to arm the Fatah and Hamas did not seize those weapons. In any case, even if Salon was right- USA did not give rockets to Hamas. Sort of our guys were OK with Arabs killing each other but not the Israelis. Ok, where the rockets came from? Iran? Well, they have those underground tunnels on the Egyptian border and there they smuggle parts through and assemble the rockets in Gaza. Fanatics, as I said. They have time to assemble the rockets but cannot earn their own living. They do not want to work. Wait a second… with that entire blockade, openly defining Gaza as a terrorist nest young people have no jobs. They have like 50% unemployment as I heard. Obviously, when you have no work and no way to get one and you are already branded as a terrorist by birth- you have a great temptation to oblige. Those folks in Zderot and Ashkelon- have they ever gone to Gaza and invited the families of Gazans to their city to show the results of the rocket attacks and say something like, ‘Folks, how about you work on the restoration of these ruins and we pay you for your work?’ Just a thought. First contact like between the different species. Look into the eyes, you know. That helped before in history. Obviously, I do not even entertain the idea of the Israelis working on the restoration of the Gaza ruins. No way for them to do such a thing. That would be a violation of all the laws of Torah. Killing Rachel Corrie- that’s a real feat of the Jewish warrior. Restoration of the houses they destroy – that would be immoral as the IDF Chief Rabbi says.

There is something definitely Anti-Semitic in me. I come from a long line of such people. Although my father’s Jewish family ran away from Polish pogroms in 1922, they ran into the wrong direction. Real Jews run to  civilized countries like Germany or France. My father’s family moved to Godless Russia. Turned out at that time Russians officially banned any nationalism. And as for Germany, France, Poland, etc.-we have to bid adieu to those smarty Jews, you know. My father survived. Not without a miracle; those civilized Germans with the help of God- following Ukrainians killed all the Jews in Baby Yar in my native city of Kiev. But we should not be that upset: first- their death served a great purpose of the establishment of Israel and second- they were all worthless souls, communists, young pioneers, atheists and not even circumcised.

They atoned their sins in death. That’s why Israel now has terrific relations with Ukraine and even supplies to the Ukrainian nationalist government documents exonerating the former collaborators from the accusations of being killers of the Jews. Of course, they killed many other people: Roma, Russians, Poles, whatever but as soon as you get a seal from the Israelis you can get a Freedom Medal from Bush, no questions asked. Hey, what’s the big deal; my mother’s family was bombed by Germans, not Ukrainians on the refugee roads, right? No grudge.

My dad when he was about 15 and studied in the all- boys school was accused by the Principle of Anti- Semitism. He gave a good thrashing to a sleazy snitch who unfortunately happened to be Jewish. No excuse. Even his own Jewish origin did not matter. My dad was scolded and told that his Anti- Semitism would not be tolerated by the communist authorities. That was in 1946. In 1948 the authorities in question unleashed an anti-cosmopolite campaign which was crowned by the Kremlin Jewish doctor’s plot. For some strange reason most of the cosmopolites were of Jewish origins and those doctors too. They were ‘disproportionably represented in the Kremlin hospitals,' as some unfortunate commenters would now say. Some of those doctors died under torture but hey, after Stalin died in 1953 those commies quickly stopped the campaign and even punished the torturers- they were tried and shot! Tell that to Leon Panetta. Those henchmen just followed orders and, Leon, I can assure you that to disobey the Stalin’s order would be much tougher than Cheney’s. But that argument did not stop Russians from trying and executing the most odious criminals, among them the former Stalin’s Chief Executioner Beria. But who cares; we still call Russians Anti-Semites. Not Germans, Ukrainians, Poles, Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians. No, first go Arabs and Iranians and then- Russians. That’s how they are listed in the Russian- Jewish immigrant newspapers published in New York. In all fairness, French follow them in that list. Not Alabamans, not Arkansas folks, not Pat Robertson but French!

As I said, there is something wrong with me. I don’t like the word Holocaust. It is the name of the movie. How can a real event be assigned the name of the movie? Also the word ‘Holocaust’ means ‘perishing in fire’. That would mean some kind of a freak accident. Like in a Paradise Germany, full of good food and brilliant engineers an evil mad force took over and killed all the Jews. All other Germans were in some kind of Rip Van Winkle dream and so were French, Dutch, Poles, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Croatians, Hungarians; all except for Serbs who are irrational people anyway. That’s why we had to bomb them in 1999 again. So Hitler killed all those Jews, burned then in the ovens and then Israel emerged out of their ashes and that was good. Sounds like a start of a new Bible, only the first line would be, ’At first there was ashes…’ So now Israel is the Highest Authority on the Jews and Holocaust (again!) and NOTHING JEWISH in the world can happen without Israel’s approval. That immediately means that it has a sacral connection and CAN DO NOTHING WRONG! It is only Arabs who can do wrong and they, as we all know do not even love their children. That’s what Golda Meir said, ’Peace will take place when Arabs learn to love their children more that they hate us.’ A very strange statement, don’t you think? Oh, I forgot, to think is Anti-Semitic. It is not a Jewish feature anymore.

Life plays tricks on you. In 1989 I had to emigrate from Ukraine again, to run away like my ancestors. During the waiting period in Europe as a Jew I surely decided to find out more about Zionism and Israelis. They had that Zionist club with all that literature readily available. So I read it, a pile of it. Here are some interesting messages from all those books ( mind you, written by Jewish people for Jewish people):
