When shall we finally address the intellectual chaos of our nation—a nation dashing madly into the abyss of mass-insanity? The answer must be "NOW."
Is it still possible to reverse the damage done to our collective cognizance by the witch doctors, medicine men, and carnival barkers who exercise considerable control over the atrophying minds of a large segment of our society: one that appears to have been all too willing to tolerate any form of evil in exchange for trinkets and an approving pat on the head?
"Yes" is the only acceptable answer if we are to hope for a brighter, more sustainable future. In the absence of such an answer, our darkest days are ahead of us.
Reasonable, rational thinking has been vehemently opposed for decades by a Power Elite whose self-serving interests demand the enslavement of our minds and the eradication of anything and anyone that might expose their absurd suppositions and belabored conclusions as pure, unadulterated garbage.
We've long suffered the delusion that our interests are important—that our lives have any meaning whatsoever—to the spoiled, pampered, sheltered kings and queens of our nation's self-appointed royalty: a breed that hasn't a clue as to what life is like outside their extravagant, well-guarded, well-stocked, and ready to be upgraded cocoons.
We've been told that our needs are frivolous—our grievances preposterous—by apologists whose job it is to discount and discredit our concerns while linking the very survival of our union to the insatiable appetite of the ruling-class for more, and more, and more, and more...
We have witnessed our houses of worship toiling in the service of mammon; dressing the merchants of greed in divine clothing and rebuking the victims of their new gods as faithless sloths; effectively establishing a theology that supposes heavenly providence as the architect of an economic system that is based upon dishonesty, thievery, trickery, and the unrelenting, merciless exploitation of the masses.
It was we, the people, who acquiesced to the marriage of our laws to the destructive interests of a gluttonous, unsympathetic upper-class; giving them free rein to use our government to enforce their will. It was we, the people, who sat idly by as or friends, our neighbors, our co-workers, our classmates, and, yes, even our children, were hauled off to their profit-driven, privately-owned dungeons to satisfy the precepts of their pompous, self-serving, self-righteous, destructive, edicts: Laws that increasingly serve no other purpose than to herd us through doors they open, bar us from doors they close, and restrict Liberty to those who properly serve the masters.
While we've dutifully sought favor from The Establishment's darlings, we've done so over the diseased bodies and fallen corpses of our fellow citizens whose lives were deemed by Hippocrates' illegitimate children as too insignificant to warrant medical treatment, especially if it required the diversion of treasure from their pockets, or from the coffers of those pretending to represent us.
It was we who accepted the Big Lie as gospel: The lie that rallies the feeble-minded around the proposition that our nation cannot prosper unless we starve the poor, bankrupt the working-class, and continue to feed the ravenous beast whose belly can never be filled.
Should there be any delay in reversing the insane mentality of the past thirty years, we shall forever be known as the generation that allowed the Flame Of Liberty to be extinguished. After the darkness descends upon us, we will be branded the generation that sold its children into perpetual servitude. Further dallying shall require us to craft our excuses to future generations, explaining why we traded the promise of our nation for comfort and convenience.
If we continue to do nothing, we shall surely be cursed every time our descendants feel the snap of the rich man's whip against his shredded back.
