Control the oil, you control nations

Control the food, you control the people,

Henry Kissinger as quoted in Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma

Let corporations control the food and you, the reader, are being controlled. Is that freedom?

In more recent times, Arian Ebel asks the following question in an Oped article:

What is it going to take for us to finally drop the pretenses, drop the games, drop the BS, drop the denial and finally look ourselves straight in the face and admit that we are not innocent doves and that we are not on the road of wisdom, but once again on the road to the nightmare building?

This is a brilliant question, one that I share. It shines the light of truth where we have been hoodwinked with the darkness of lies and greed. How do we awaken from the shared nightmare? How do we open the blinds and let in the daylight that is dawning?

Research, research and do more research. A lot of information is right on the web. Google Permaculture, Transition Town, Sustainable Lifestyles, Cooperative Business, Time Banks, and Local Currency in your area. What is close to you? The web allows us to shine a light on the mass deception of the mass media. Sunlight is bursting forth from behind the oppressive thunderheads of disinformation and fear.
