We are in hell. They trick you in hell. There's a joke that I heard many years ago.
Joe goes to Hell. He is shown two rooms where he will spend the rest of eternity. In one, people are standing up to their necks in poop. In the second room they are standing up to their knees in poop.Neither is a great choice, but this is hell. So he chooses the up to the knees in poop option. He wades into the room and after a few minutes, a demon comes in announces,
"Break is over, back to standing on your hands."
My point is we are in hell and all of our choices are bad. Both sides of the duopoly-- Republican and Democrat-- are beholding to the corporations, neocons and neoliberals. The system stinks. Matter of fact, the constitution, which gives small states equal influence in the senate as massive states, also is irredeemable. It will never be fixed, so extremely conservative, religious extremists have unequal influence.
Currently we have a malignant narcissist, psychopath in the White House who has zero respect for any laws or the constitution. He is, perhaps, the most dangerous man in the history of the world. There are many who have deluded themselves to believe that this psychopath, because he is standing up to anyone who doesn't treat him with total obeisance, might do some good. That is a delusion. Trump does what he thinks will serve his interests and ego. That is all.
I must confess that I was like Joe, seeing Trump and Hillary and thinking Trump might be better. I didn't vote for him, but I hoped he might be better. I was wrong.
If you are still thinking you are in the better poop room, you are wrong. Most of us, most of the world have already awakened to the reality that the break is over and we are deep in sh*t. If you are still waiting for, or hoping for Trump to be the answer, then brace yourself. Your illusion of a better situation is temporary. You will eventually face the reality that Trump is just another place in hell, and part of hell is tricking you into thinking that things are going to better, before they get worse.
