Recently the hue and cry has been raised to recall Sheriff Dupnick of Pima County for suggesting that violence can be started by words.
If corporate advertisers spend $41,000,000,000 (forty-one billion dollars) to air television commercials each year to successfully convince us to buy beer, snacks, cars and all manner of worthless junk , why then wouldn't $32,000,000 (thirty-two million dollars) to Drama Queen Glenn Beck, $28,000,000 to Rush Limbaugh, $20,000,000 to Sean Hannity and $10,000,000 to Bill O'Reilly have some effect on viewer's behavior? Why wouldn't the message of hate of government influence a disturbed man to "buy" that message being sold--- that targeting the enemy and "shooting them in the head" is OK?
After all, Glenn Beck thought it was a good idea.
It was on his FOX NEWS SHOW of June 10 that year [2010] Glenn Beck said "You're going to have to shoot them in the head," in reference to Democrats such as then U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who[m] he described as a Marxist "revolutionary" and "communist."--Ben Betz of People for the American Way.
The Tucson shooting wasn't the first time.
"Bryon Williams, who allegedly shot it out with police on his way to attack a little known liberal foundation [Tides Foundation] appears to have selected his target after hearing FOX NEWS host , Glenn Beck "s rants against it." [29 rants between Jan.12, 2009 and Jul. 18, 2010]--(INTELLIGENCE REPORT, Winter 2010/#140). Williams cited Glenn Beck as his inspiration.
It is very difficult not to believe Bryon Williams.
