Joe Biden has finally officially thrown his hat in the ring.
I don't see him as a strong, wise leader.
I see him as a long lingering corporate tool, a fake liberal, certainly not a progressive. He is the 2020 neoliberal candidate the DNC leadership really wants.
Daenerys Targaryen, the Dragon Queen, in Game of Thrones says she chose Tyrion to be her "hand" because he was good, intelligent and ruthless when he had to be." Joe Biden has a history of ruthlessness-- betraying college students, betraying Anita Hill, betraying unions. He is not a man to be trusted AT ALL with any progressive promises he utters in his effort to compete with the actual progressive candidates already in the field.
Biden has been leading Bernie Sanders in most polls, but his lead, according to OEN poll analyst Jerry Policoff, has been declining.
As far as his video goes. In Yiddish, my mother would have called it schmaltz-- i.e., chicken fat. You'd put it on stuff to add texture and flavor to something bland. Biden offers no policy and uses pictures of world war two, and MLK to present an image of patriotism. But he is no leader and his history is not a history of greatness. It is a history of bumfuckery, of cloddish, oafish, sloppy messes that he's had to clean up. He's a great guy to have a beer with, but he is not the strong principled leader we need now. He has too many high-powered friends he owes too many favors to. Look at his fundraiser he's doing today in Philly, with a major Comcast donor-- Comcast, one of the companies that opposes net neutrality. He oozes connections to the exact people and organizations we need to get OUT of power.
And what about that Botox smooth face of his?
What are your thoughts about Biden's entry into the race?

Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big) to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.)
