NOTHING TO BE DONE

In this great land filled with good people
This America, this shining city on the hill
There is nothing that can be done.
Our leaders, elected by us, representing us
The good people in the shining city on the hill,
These great leaders would surely do something
But there is nothing that can be done.
Our religious leaders who teach us,
The good people in the shining city on the hill,
These caring people would certainly do something
But there is nothing that can be done.
