I found this in my inbox this morning, from DailyKos. I posted my reply below and encourage anyone reading this to do likewise.

Daniel, we have less than two months until the FCC actually votes (February 26) on net neutrality and we are almost able to claim victory. We need your help for the next few weeks to win this campaign, thus saving the internet and Daily Kos. Please stick with us so we can all claim victory together.

Here's the deal:

FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has hinted that he will heed President Obama's call to create the strongest net neutrality rules using Title II. The problem is Big Cable and their lobbyists are pushing hard to weaken the rules--once again, it's all of us versus the cable lobbyists.

The FCC needs to hear from you. We must come out strong and encourage them to do the right thing. Please take a few minutes to personally write an email to the FCC using this Daily Kos form.

This is a big ask, but it's really important and worth it----Wheeler told us he reads real stories from real people about why the internet is important. Writing your own email encouraging him to stand strong against Big Cable and their lobbyists is the single most important thing you can do to save the internet.

Please, take a few minutes to personally write a message to the FCC encouraging them to stand with the majority of the American public to protect an open internet with bright line rules that will clearly stop Big Cable from throttling data, blocking content, or creating pay-to-play lanes. The FCC wants and needs the cover to stand up to Big Cable----help us give it to them.

Keep fighting,
Rachel Colyer, Daily Kos

My reply sent via the DK link:

I have been and am a major user of the internet. I could ramble on for a long time, pointing out why I think this is the most important invention probably since fire. The internet is truly as if a global nervous system sprang up overnight. It is evolving daily, generally for the better, and I think will be a major influence in taking care of the many problems that face humanity--it already has been in many cases. It also gives small businesses a fighting change to get started, as it has done for me (one that could alter the future of aviation--hyperblimp.com, lest there be a doubt).

The internet is where I get actual news I can rely on, with some caution of course. I see net neutrality as the ultimate form of freedom of speech and expression.

Please, please, please do all you can to maintain net neutrality AND thank you in advance for your efforts.

voteutah.us (yes, this site gave me a fighting chance to run for U.S. Senator. How very awesome and empowering for new ideas and showing that "all humans are created equal." If not in abilities, in dignity and worth and valuable as members of our own species).
