Ever since the Romney video relegating 47% of the American people as being moochers and freeloaders went viral over the internet earlier this week, his talking head apologists have been working non-stop opining, defending, deflecting, excusing"in other words using all manner of "dissembling" explaining just what the "Mittster" said to that well heeled crowd last May.
As to the meaning of the word "dissemble" here's a dictionary definition:
- Dissemble -- To conceal or disguise the true nature so as to deceive; to pretend not to notice; ignore; to feign; to conceal one's true nature; act hypocritically. Any questions?
It's amazing the contortions and verbal jujitsu (dissembling?) these apologists will resort to in defending this man. And the more they blabber on, this Romney "white elephant" just grows in size.
Yes as Yogi Berra said years ago, "It ain't over till it's over" and there's still 6 plus weeks left before the election. But from here the Romney campaign appears on life support. Not because of the millions coming from Sheldon Adelson, the Koch Bros. or Karl Rove's et al big bucks being shelled out for Romney and contaminating the electoral process, it's because even their largesse won't be able to resuscitate the "U.S.S. Romney" from sinking like the "Titanic", (my apology to Pepe Escobar for borrowing his analogy).
Romney is the "gift that keeps on giving". Unless Barack Obama commits murder on the White House steps this election just became his for the taking.
