McCain holds America hostage and Ed Koch endorses Barack Obama

On this somber day, I just want to offer my prayers to those who lost loved ones on September 11th, 2001.  Those that died on that day will always be with us.  There were may heroes of that day especially our first responders who climbed the stairways at the Twin Towers into Heaven.  In their honor, we should not allow that day to fill us with fear, because they had none as they encountered a scene so horrific, but it did not stop them.

With that said, in Keith Olbermann’s wonderful on-air commentary, he quoted Senator John McCain concerning Osama bin Laden, “Look,” he said. “I know the area, I’ve been there, I know wars, I know how to win wars, and I know how to improve our capabilities so that we will capture Osama bin Laden — or put it this way, bring him to justice. We will do it. I know how to do it.”

Keith brought up an interesting point that he John McCain is aiding and abetting Osama bin Laden who Olbermann called the “Most hated man in the world” I would also say by not going to the Bush administration, the CIA and anyone else with this knowledge to bring this terrorist to justice, he is in fact holding all of us as POWs.

Do we indeed have to elect him before he can bring us Osama bin Laden?  Is McCain holding America hostage?  If so, he is not putting ‘County First’.  No, he is putting his political aspirations before all of us.

Now much was made of the non-story of putting lipstick on a pig, a saying that McCain has used in the past.  Come to think of it, pigs are intelligent creatures and could probably find Osama bin Laden far quicker than McCain.  Come to think of it, the elephant which is the symbol of the Republican Party is also an intelligent animal that protects their own.  Is McCain honoring that elephant by not providing anyone with that information to protect we the people?

In reading today’s Newsday, I was shocked beyond belief in reading where former New York City Mayor, Ed Koch has now endorsed Senator Barack Obama. As many of us already know, he endorsed George W. Bush in the past.  The reason and I quote Koch is what he said of Sarah Palin "She scares the hell out of me." He isn’t the only one considering McCain’s age.

Koch also made these remarks of Palin, "Protecting and defending the U.S. means more than defending us from foreign attacks," he said, citing such concerns as civil liberties, abortion rights, gay rights and access to health insurance. Koch said he is particularly troubled by Palin's record in those areas."

If the former mayor were to ask as he did while mayor, “How am I doing?” by endorsing Barack Obama, I would say just fine, mayor, just fine.

Now back to McCain, his plan is similar to Bush’s as far as Iraq goes. In watching Lou Dobb’s tonight last night, it was reported where our national debt stands at $9.5 trillion dollars and our trade deficit stands at $6.5 trillion dollars.  Okay, Senator McCain and Governor Palin, the both of you claim to be conservatives when it comes to the tax payer’s dollars: Just how are the both of you going to pay for these continued wars based upon those figures?

The both of you seem to be concentrating on the Middle East as it relates to terror.  But, terrorism is already invading our southern border that we share with Mexico.  What I am speaking of is narco-terrorism.

In watching Lou Dobb’s Independent convention last night, a voice over on a video clip stated, “If they prepare a shipment of 40 tons in three trailers they will send three or four cars ahead with 50 to 60 kilos of drugs in each. When they reach the bridge the dogs will detect one of the shipments in the car. At this point all of the police will focus on that vehicle. In the meantime the traffic on the bridge must keep going. At that point they only have one officer trying to direct traffic and all he's saying is, go, go, go. Allowing the trailers to pass through undetected.”

Senator McCain and Governor Palin exactly how will the both of you put ‘Country First’ when Lou Dobbs reported, “The violence that has taken more than 4,000 lives in Mexico over just the past year and a half is spreading now to this country. Assaults on our border patrol agents are up 25 percent this year. U.S. law enforcement is concerned that this is only the beginning.”

As I stated before terrorism is already here as Casey Wian reported of, "Decapitated tortured bodies littering Mexico's landscape. Victims of a war between Mexican drug cartels, corrupt local police and 30,000 federal troops. Recently more than 100,000 Mexicans took to the streets demanding the government stop the kidnappings and violence that have killed more than 4,000 people in 20 months. The carnage is spreading to the United States."

While Lou Dobbs equally tarnished the Democrats: The majority of these eight years our government has been in Republican control.  The Republican Party will use fear tactics telling all they are they only party that will keep America safe. Yet this has been going on under a Republican administration.

Our country has basically fallen apart and I would love to hear detailed plans coming from McCain and his pick for vice president Sarah Palin.  How will she address narco-terrorism and a ballooning national and trade deficit.  Senator McCain please allow her to go off script, speak to the issues and more importantly speak to the American people through the media instead of hiding her from all of us.

In closing, if Sarah Palin is but a heart beat away from the presidency, then she must show the leadership and tell those who are handling her, she must be able to speak with the media and to the American people.  Failing to do so, she is not showing how she can lead this country in a world filled with danger.
