Condoleezza Rice's slash and burn interview.

In her interview with MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell on May 5, 2011 former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice threw verbal napalm in all directions, which included burning Canada, Bush's democratic invasion of Iraq and the U.S. supported Iraqi invasion of Iran.

Early on, knowing full well how badly the interview would go for her, Rice handles the threat in pretty much the same fashion the Iraq war was conducted, by launching a pre-emptive strike. [Video: Pre-emptive Strike]

Under O'Donnell's relentless cross examination, Rice first maintained Saddam Hussain was so dangerous he attacked Iran and gassed Iranians, then, choking for breath, admitted the US supported Iraq in that war. The fact that Saddam Hussain had full American support in its invasion of Iran is not hidden. What is absurd is that she uses this spurious logic to prove Saddam was a threat and should be stopped. For Canada, former Canadian PM Jean Chretien had steadfastly refused to join the US in its war on Iraq, unless the Security Council resolution in that regard passed, which it didn't. Canadians rejoiced in Chretien's decision demonstrating to the U.S. it cannot dictate at will to Ottawa. Not surprisingly, the anti-war movement in the U.S. similarly held Chretien in high regard for standing up to George Bush.

During the years rumors floated around of Canada's covert support for the Iraqi invasion but there was nothing concrete. Again Rice, desperate for oxygen, blurted out Canada's forces "were" fighting on the ground in Iraq. [Video: Canada Exposed]. Readers curious about Canada's involvement will find "Canada's secret war in Iraq" by Richard Sanders published on Global Research website of special interest.

Diving for cover, in her panic, she took an unknowing and obviously un-intended swipe at George Bush who had used "the spread of democracy" as one of several reasons for invading Iraq. "We didn't go to Iraq to bring democracy any more than dealing with Adolph Hitler was to bring democracy to Germany. But once there, we felt that we had to help the Iraqi people get to democracy." [Video: Delivering Democracy ]

Needless to say, Secretary Rice will probably not be granting further interviews to O'Donnnell any time soon. If she does she will need a ton of burn medication and the fire department standing by to dowse her pyrotechnics.
