I hope you saw Barack Obama accept the Democratic Nomination for President on Thursday, August 28, 2008.

His speech was simply eloquent, it was a moving historical speech that told America what we must do as a nation. Barack Obama gave such an electrifying how-to speech that was not only powerful, but it was moving, it was motivating, and it was emotionally on target.

While witnessing this I knew that America was being blessed for it wasn’t about him.  It was, and is, about us, our families and children and seeing what America can do.

We all speak of blessings time and time again, day in and day out. Many of us pray, wish or hope for a blessing, well I’m here to tell you that we have received a blessing. It’s one of the greatest blessings that you can receive because it is not just for you alone, it is for all of the people here, all of the people that live work, eat, live, play, go to school.

Worship together, ride buses, subways, trains and planes together, cry and laugh together, it’s right here, and the place that I’m talking about is the United States of America and the blessing that I’m speaking of is Barack Obama and sharing our dream.

We have been blessed with a brilliant man with foresight, energy, laughter, reasoning, honesty, and humility that is working for us and who will continue to work for us if we let him and if we help him. He will make sure that we all have food on our tables, have clothes to put on our backs, have money to buy the necessities that weneed and have some to put away for that rainy day, who will make sure that ifwe want and are willing to work that we will have an higher education that wecan afford, and that we will have a affordable health plan for all Americans.

With our help this man will take the embarrassment out ofthe American dream and help bring honor back to the United States instead ofbeing seen as country that is hated by so many in this world. With our help he willrestore that once wonderful image that commanded respect from our friendsabroad and bring us to an even to a higher degree of respect.

By helping we can feed everyone in this country which will enable us to share our wealth with those who really need help overseas. He will help us uplift ourselves and our nation so that we can uplift other nations too, and this will happen if webelieve that we are deserving of something richer than what we have. If we believe that we are deserving of something better then it should not be a problem to continue applauding this man and ourselves and reach for that whichwe deserve by supporting his efforts of improvement in every way; we will thenhave a much better life.

He will help us empower ourselves to feed each other in a friendship working relationship, one where we can begin to respect each other as human beings, supporting each other to dream, to work, to live and laugh together so that we may heal each otherand help heal all of our brothers and sisters worldwide instead of murderinginnocent people by invading innocent people in their own land.

Together with this man we will aid the world in stopping the spread of deadly diseases through education including stopping and curing the AIDS epidemic and genocides that evolve from others tyrants who want to wipe out other people because of theirego manic dominating attitude bent on destroying others. He will make sure that we put money where it is needed to heal and to support while protecting this country to the highest degree.

Yes believe that we have been sent a blessing, believe this, believe in yourselves and believe that this wonderful man is that blessing of hard work that has been sent to us from above telling us: “America get it right, America don’t squander, America listen, America don’t throw away this blessing.” America this is our chance of our lifetime, it’s our time to shine and be empowered and it’s time to share theblessing!

If you care about yourself, your family, your loved one, your jobs, your health care, your homes, your cars, your hospitals, your soldiers, your firemen, your police officers, your sons and daughters, and if you want to experience a better life with prosperity, andif you care about your stocks and bonds and your money then there is only one voice that you should be listening to as intelligent people. Need I say who this is; this is Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden.

The only thing that we must do asa people regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation is to vote together and to make sure that all of our voting is secure from the state of Florida to the state of Ohio, from the biggest cities to the smallest towns, to the valleys and to the mountain tops.

It has been said in the past that America is very generous, and that thiscountry is the home of the brave. Now America must show how brave we as a people are by taking back our country and not allowing our country to move without telling us. We must show our generosity to ourselves first, be brave andwilling to stand up for what is right everyday, not just part-time when wethink it will suit us. We must unleash our power of goodness to serve all of us, and we can begin by listening to those younger people who have beensupporters of Obama for a long time, so believe and listen to your children.

Listenup everybody,we all must vote, that’s right all of us, and though I’ve heard people say forwhat, well simply vote for a change for the better and this is what you must do. You can’t rely on others to do your job, just as you cannot rely on a stranger to take your money to the bank or cash your checks and give you the money. It’s about common sense and trusting yourself by taking action you needto do your job. Join this American dream; join the blessing at hand by supporting Barack Obama and Joe Biden to carry us to a much better America where we can begin to moveforward. This is the democratic way; we must begin by moving forward becausefor 8 years in the Republican presidential and vice presidential administrationwe saw who those top dogs supported and it wasn’t you or me. They have beenback stepping, sliding back, falling back and as theycontinue to fall away from what we need and from what we want because of theirinept administration to the poor and middle class. The Bush and Cheney team wasonly an administration for the rich and powerful who did nothing for the poorand for those who hungered.

John McCain and his new running mate Sarah Palin will continue this Bush/Cheney legacy for as saidin the DNC John McCain voted with the Bush policies 90-95% of the time, and if you think that is going to change, don’t believe it, leopards spots don’t change.

One might say that writing has become my fondest passion; it is a love that always gives, and one that I feel comfortable sharing. I write because writing has become the voice in which I can speak to many people, share experiences, stories and (more...)
