Can it be true that we've worn out our welcome?
So soon, so fast, so sudden in that maelstrom,
Where you'd think we stand as a pillar of reason,
Of calm and security through bombings and season,
Iraqis I don't like to see as ingrates,
But the proof's in the pudding: they stormed our gates.
.
We gave an Iran gen'ral the dirty drone chop,
So his ayatollahs won't run Iraq's shop.
Hell was he doing in Baghdad anyway?
Not shopping for rugs or weekend getaway.
It will mean for Uncle Sam more millions lost,
But Iraqis don't care what attacks like that cost.
.
Then they loud gripe that we attacked in their court,
Illegal shlimegal is what I retort:
My prez reported this guy killed a million,
Was planning attacks on grunt and civilian,
Yankee or local, it was all one to him,
So the Exceptionals sent his butt to the Grim.
.
The Euros, so soft, will as always cry foul,
And the Dems for diplomacy yearn long and howl,
But they'll all go home to the wife and remark,
"Thank goodness our world is done with that shark,"
And Iranians with smarts will see this demise
As one step less to the lost freedom they prize.
.
Again we see Trump as a master of strat',
Mixing his tweets with adroit swings of the bat,
Knowing that no one can respond with much force,
And protesters, well, they can shout till their hoarse,
But The One has his ways and it's clear that they work,
Despite what you hear from some Washington jerk.
