Message Tobin the Terrible
The time is long overdue for the Left to break into the no-longer impenetrable Right Wing talk radio matrix and start peeling off voters suspicious of logic that will continue to fail more and more as a future unfolds with corporate America missing in action and government action becomes more relevant. Some well produced and entertaining political education via talk radio would go a long way towards upseting the thin margins deciding where billions of war spending goes.

Corporations will not be cleaning up the giant mess they've made of the world in the future. It will be the governments of the world saving the butts of people. People who are virulently right-wing today will be thanking their lucky stars for
government intervention when major global events take place tomorrow. When push comes to shove, they will eventually realize Wal-Mart's bottom line doesn't throw them a real life line. Government does that. Society does that.

In other words, the comfortable, affluent reality that has fueled the Libertarian fantasy from Ayn Rand to Glenn Beck is about to self-destruct.

When this economy finally bottoms out of it's rotten foundation; when the fragile stability currently fueling globalization's cheap goods and services begins to be interrupted by the instability that is certain to be coming, the conventional economic wisdom of assumed abundance will crumble into a much different reality in the future. The new givens will be uncertainty; depletion of unaccounted for economic 'externalities'; and the end of cheap energy subsidizing the movement of goods across massive oceans to this distant continent to be distributed by millions of single engine trucks across a vast continent.

The crushing realities of the downside of capitalism which have haunted Africa, Asia, South and Central America for this past century, the century of capitalism's greatest expansion and fruition into a mature destructive force, are coming home to roost in a big way. And corporations are leading the charge to transform America into this third-world reality, people realizing what is happening, they just don't know how to react.

If the Left can open it's doors to economic realities in 21st Century capitalism and talk about it without shame, there are boatloads of today's Libertarian right-wingers who will be tomorrow's grateful government beneficiaries. These Americans just need to hear our message told to them in a form they are accustomed to: 24/7/365 Talk Radio Coast to Coast.

And not one radio station less. We're building a culture. You can't skimp building a culture. It doesn't work. All hands on deck, all resources at our disposal, all financing figured out.

We're competing against a dated, obsolete message from the right-wing. There is no richer soil to plant seeds than a dead ideology. Now, let's begin peeling talk radio listeners off the right-wing roster by the boatload...

I have a detailed plan for funding and building an effective, interesting, well-produced nationwide Progressive talk radio network conceived and implemented by the Left's best and brightest media culuture warriors in my previous article, Obama's Orphans.
