While the World Health Organization (WHO)continues its global tracking of Influenza A H1N1 a curious statistic is emerging. Although it remains prevalent, and statistical numbers continue to rise throughout the world the country with by far the most documented cases updates their own statistics with considerably less frequency. The United States, at the time of this writing (8:21 Am Friday, June 19), the statistic of 17,855 United States cases is identical to the statistic updated from last week, June 12.  WHO has raised its level to its highest category, declaring it a level 6 pandemic. Whether rising or falling, it seems only prudent that the CDC might at least take the initiative to post statistics along with the rest of the world if for no other reason than public reassurance.  The global figure has risen nearly 5,000 since the 17th, and the US has 44 deaths assigned to this virus. Mexico had a fraction of these numbers at the onset and took far greater measures toward intervention.
