  • would remove the right of the people to protect themselves by making sure their voting machines work properly
  • would destroy the ability of localities to take basic measures such as reasonable checks of equipment functioning, to ensure the voting machines, purchased with taxpayer dollars, are operating correctly.
  • would deprive counties of their constitutional right to home rule.
