As we end this year, we, the people of the world, the world's forces of nature themselves, face some very tough, challenging times. I promise you, OpEdNews will speak truth to power to those challenges. We will not flinch when it comes to casting light on injustice-- social or environmental. We will be non-partisan critics and supporters and advocates for strong activism, challenging the corporatocracy, challenging bad leadership, supporting good works. I invite you to join us. Some of you will do that by writing or commenting, some by volunteering, some by financially supporting us, some by spreading the word We're a community here and you are welcome to be an engaged, vital part of it.
In the past year, OEN rose to be ranked among the top 100 blogs in the world overall, according to Technorati. You've been a part of making that happen.

My resolution is to work harder and smarter this year to inspire and empower YOU to make a difference. As a firm believer in the power of Bottom-up energies and processes, I want to do all I can to provide the tools and information to make it possible for YOU to go beyond being a passive observer.
If you want to help, drop me an email or make a donation. We're within $150 of making this year's budget. I KNOW you will help in some way, whether it's today, with a contribution, or later, in the other ways I've mentioned.

If you're a writer, if you aspire to write, we hope you'll post your writing our way. We want to be a full range media site, not just a political site. Even lefties like movies and actually have to eat and really, they do need and deserve to have fun. So submit writings on anything, even short fiction and photo essays.
Thanks so much for making my job possible,
Happy New Year,
