So now let's be reasonable about this whole thing, if we're going to be chartering airliners to bring us the world's sick, why not pick up the refugee's? Just to fill the empty seats, since we're going to be in the neighborhood anyway, why not? Religious, political or economic, America is a land of plenty, come one, come all. Really it all makes sense; we've been thinking about these things all wrong. Why not buy the jetliners and use them to bring all of the poor, the sick and the destitute here to the United States. We could solve so many of the world's problems, just by bringing all those people here.
Gaza Indiana, it's a thought! The navy always has an aircraft carrier or two in the neighborhood; we could set up appointed pick up sites and take anyone with us who wants to go. It's likely the only way the Palestinians will ever know peace, so it's the least we can do. We have so much and the world's poor and oppressed have so little, it's our duty.
The first rule of lifesaving is never to let a drowning man take you down with them. It's cruel and it hard, it's highly charged and emotional, but the world's not what it used to be. Buildings fall down now, all by themselves, 777's disappear from the sky without a trace, while a cease-fire might only apply to one side. Vladimir Putin is somehow a criminal, for defending an elected government on his border, as 60,000 children show up unescorted on our border, in a mass exodus comparable to the biblical Moses. I bet the satellite photos would be amazing, hundreds of little children marching all alone for 1,100 miles. With good weather and making good time, it shouldn't take an able-bodied twelve-year old, making 30 miles per day, more than four or five weeks.
More than likely, two months, but how does a twelve-year old, fleeing poverty, feed himself for two months on the open road? I suppose they could swipe the occasional apple or two, but with thousands of children, the shopkeepers would soon become wise. So how do they get here, how do they cross the Chihuahuan desert all by themselves? Or do they brave an additional 200 miles by themselves. Sadly, there must be an equal number of small skeletons littering the way, how could the success rate on such an endeavor ever be more than 50 percent?
We are six years into the Obama narrative; entering his second term Barack Obama declares immigration reform to be a primary goal. But why, why is that a primary goal for his administration? Our economy is at best tepid; our actual unemployment rate is over 12 percent. Wages are flat across the board. We're fighting military conflicts all over the world, so what makes immigration reform a priority? Ask yourself, who gains from this? Think about what it takes to motivate the Federal government into taking direct action. After six years of 2 percent annual inflation, the American people struggle raising the minimum wage with broad public support and yet, Obama chooses the highly unpopular path of immigration reform. What does Obama get" a good guy medal? This drone bomber condemned by the United Nations is somehow really a humanitarian after all?
"Fascism is the stage reached after communism has proved an illusion." ~ Friedrich Hayek
"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power" ~ Benito Mussolini
You might not know who Friedrich Hayek is, but he and old Benito, have a lot in common. Hayek is a Neoliberal guru, Neoliberal isn't liberal, it's Fascism. It's Nazism with black robes and college degrees. Neoliberalism also believes in a master race and not surprisingly, it's themselves. Neoliberalism believes there is no such thing as countries, only individuals. Neoliberalism believes there are no such things as rights, save for one. They believe in property rights, if you own property, you're somebody. If not, you're nobody. You have no right to free speech, or free assembly, no right to privacy. Why should you be provided with an attorney, when you're nobody?
