Reasonable persons differ about the seriousness of the threat which the nation of Cuba presents to the United States. On the one hand, die-hard Embargo supporters argue that the island country embodies the very opposite of The Empire-Driven Capitalism Which Is America, and it must never be allowed to demonstrate to the world that an alternative to this America can work. On the other hand, opponents of the Embargo argue that a relatively small island could never constitute a threat to a country almost 90 times larger which spends more on its military every year than the rest of the world combined. In my opinion, the truth lies somewhere in between.
