In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. That is the concise summary of a Trump supporter the organized opposition is trying to get us all to believe in. They tell us that Trump is appealing to the politically and culturally ignorant, the bigoted, the mentally-impaired. "Don't be them, don't be associated with them." That is the underlying psychology of that propaganda meme. While mostly true, there is another large number of supporters for Trump by those willing to throw caution to the wind, hoping against hope that Trump is not the phony or oftentimes extremist he appears to be. "Maybe it is all an act" they pray. Either way, they believe they know what another Clinton presidency holds in store - they fear the unknown less.
The oft-cited combine of the establishment investor class in league with the GOP has traditionally been suggested as comprising the basis for right-wing power in American politics - but they are nowhere to be found in the propaganda coming out in support of Clinton Inc. Why is that? Have they switched sides? Are they now all liberals? The last we heard of them was from Comrade Bernie before his exit stage leftist. The traditional enemy of the Democrats (at least during election season) are seen as inconsequential for the moment by Team Hillary. The current agenda is much easier to proceed with than having to deal with all the conundrums of the traditional left/right divide according to the "conventional wisdom" of beltway politics, especially in an election season with masses of the hoi polloi making it known they are fed up with the pretentious fraudulent nature of Democrat politics as usual.
Who wants to deal with the obvious thin lines that divide the ruling left from the ruling right when push comes to shove in front of a somewhat informed media landscape? Scaring you into voting for Hillary's third term in the White House is all that matters anyways - and sooo much less hassle. The truth of the rightward march of the Democrats in matters other than identity politics being left on the right side of the road miles back while tending to Comrade Bernie's fever dreams is something they really don't want to deal with anymore, well at least for the time being they hope to keep the loudmouth uncle off the guestlist for family gatherings.
When all the neocons came out in support of Hillary (which was easily predictable long ago) - something had to be done to keep "the conversation" off of what that support implied. That means ignoring most issues other than 1) Trump is crazy and you should be very afraid 2) Identity politics, i.e. keep vocally supporting or demonizing views on gender, race, religion, etc.
Luckily for Clinton Inc. the mainstream media has jumped on board and are doing their work for them. They are afraid of Trump, much more so than the usual GOP clowns and their show that passes for a presidential election in the 21st century Fox. In this election cycle they have tossed all semblance of objectivity aside for purely partisan propaganda - much of which must embarrass them to repeat. When Captain Hillary yells to all the mates from the sternly about "commies and comrade Donald," you grin and bear it because it is too late to abandon the good ship Clinton when the sharks are circling with such glee. The mainstream media must hate all the criticism they have received of late for their blatant pandering. I mean to them it must seem like "jeez, you just can win." Wasn't it the big complaint from the left for so many years that the mainstream media was too equitable in its treatment of politics? Wasn't everyone complaining that they should be more proactive in support of "the truth" rather than being content to play narrator of each party storyline? Now that they finally picked a side it is like deja vu all over again for them. Well guess what ladies and gents of "the press" - you picked the wrong team to get your ya-yas and pom-poms out for. It was the side of truth that you were henpecked mercilessly into voicing support for, not simply anyone but the GOP gasbags! You chose to side with Clinton Inc. over Comrade Bernie. That will not be so easily forgiven.
And yes I said third term. According to various Clinton biographers it was always Hillary who was in charge of Clinton Inc. Bill was the amusing act, the hawker meant to divert your attention while Hillary silently worked the crowd, gliding around picking pockets while all eyes are diverted to the entertaining fun guy and his amusing banter. People like Roger Morris and various other respectable sources along with people who worked for the Clintons, have told tales of funtime Bill and his party animal antics leaving the job of serious planning to serious Hillary. From the southern gothic haunts of the organized crime capital of the south in Hot Springs, to the corporate power center of some of the world's biggest corporations in the governor's mansion in Little Rock, to the halls of power in Washington - some say Hillary was more than just the trusted consigliere of Clinton Inc, that she was in fact il Padrone! If true, than we will have a third term presidency come winter. And winter is coming, believe it. Where is our Jon Snow? Will Bernie rise from the dead? Who will be the people's champion to fight for the iron throne of the west? Where is our Kali, er, Kalisi, um, Khaleesi, we can rise up for? What is a Tulsi anyways?
