STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • This year, we've seen an unprecedented push to implement censorship across all online platforms, making obtaining and sharing crucial information about health in general, and vaccines in particular, increasingly difficult
  • Google's June 2019 update, which took effect June 3, has effectively removed Mercola.com from Google search results
  • When entering a health-related search word into Google, you will no longer find Mercola.com articles in the search results. The only way to locate Mercola articles is by adding "Mercola.com" to the search word(s) in question
  • Mercola's fully referenced content has been at the top of health search results for over 15 years
  • If undesirable pages don't vanish automatically in the new algorithm, Google's quality raters will manually manipulate crowdsourced relevance to bury the page or pages

Over the years, the government and business monopolies, including the likes of Big Tech, have formed a global alliance hell-bent on protecting and concentrating member profits. The price for keeping business going as usual is personal liberty and freedom of speech that may impact these fascist government-industrial complexes.

The major industries colluding to take over the government and government agencies include banking, military, agriculture, pharma, media and Big Tech.

The leaders of these industries have organized strategies to buy off politicians through lobbying and to capture regulatory agencies through revolving door hiring strategies and paid-for media influence through advertising dollars.

Big Tech has joined the movement, bringing in a global concentration of wealth to eliminate competition and critical voices voices that bring awareness to the frightening future as our rights, freedoms and competition erode into a fascist sunset, all disguised as a means to protect you from "misinformation."

This year, we've seen an unprecedented push to implement censorship across all online platforms, making it increasingly difficult to obtain and share crucial information about health topics. If you've been having difficulty finding articles from my website in your Google searchers of late, you're not alone.

Google traffic to Mercola.com has plummeted by about 99% over the past few weeks. The reason? Google's June 2019 broad core update, which took effect June 3,1 removed most Mercola.com pages from its search results. As reported by Telaposts.com:2

"The June 2019 Google Broad Core Algorithm Update impacted the rankings of websites in Google's Search Engine Results Pages. Several aspects of the algorithm were changed which caused some sites to gain visibility and others to lose visibility.

Generally speaking, sites negatively impacted will see a drop in rankings for many or all of important keywords or key phrases which they used to rank well for " The June 2019 Google Broad Core Algorithm Update impacted sites across the web, however, I am personally seeing the most impact on News and Health sites."

My guess is that this has less to do with Mercola's general stance of preferring natural cures to prescription medicine, and more to do with the fact that he lends credibility to the movement to hold vaccine manufacturers to a higher standard.

I checked news, supported, and valuable, but a few moments of reflection cause me to agree with you. (Can't seem to undo my checks.)

Don't let Mercola's business distract you from what appears to be a valid concern here. What he's saying is not only verified, but happening to many trying to find answers through things that are non-mainstream.

We've been talking about Google, Twitter and Facebook censoring all sorts of voices, so it shouldn't be a shock to see that Google is de-indexing lots of sites that question Big Pharma. This has actually been going on at least two years now.

Around the same time this started, Rob Kall showed us how OEN's traffic and search results were being deliberately reduced by Google. Same story for WSWS, Consortium, and God knows how many others.

Every one of these stories just reinforces what I've been saying for a long time now - it's time to throw these big companies under the bus. You don't need 'em. Support better services.

I do agree and understand.

In that line, I also note that AIPAC isn't mentioned. Rather major, based on the overwhelming body of evidence. And that doesn't include major influence from more shadowy groups of the same ilk.

No doubt, AIPAC has much to do with the current manipulation of public opinion. They're likely one of the key players that brought us these "think tanks" that are trying to silence all online decent. The "anti-Semitist" label is sure getting slapped on everyone in an almost automatic fashion by these groups.

A similar thing is happening to Prager U, which produces short videos on important topics from a conservative viewpoint. Many of their videos are apparently being restricted for odd reasons that only make sense from an anti-conservative perspective. It seems Google has abandoned the "Don't be evil" motto and decided to be the arbiter of acceptable content.

About 15 years ago my husband and I visited his clinic in Chicago and benefited greatly from the information we gained on our own health status and strategies for improving it. Thus I have a great deal of respect for him.

He closed his clinic a while back to devote his time to researching and presenting information to the public. His website always sold certain products. Part of that was his readers requesting it because they were unable to find products they could trust otherwise. Now it is part of how he supports himself while providing free information. So his site is commercial.

Still, I don't see what you saw in this article that makes it an ad.

There also seems to be something fishy going on with Google Alerts but in the opposite direction. For years I have had an alert on "Libertarian Party" and it indeed gave me true hits on articles that mentioned the Libertarian Party. Now I'm not only getting alerts that only mention "libertarian" but not "party" I'm getting articles on the Democrat Party that don't even include the word libertarian anywhere.

The strangest results I've seen are where the alert itself contains the word "libertarian" but not the article (based on doing a FIND in the article on "libertarian"). This has happened a lot with Fox stations and seems to be because an irrelevant sentence not part of the article is getting mixed into the search. A phase I often see tacked on is something like " Gary Johnson the Libertarian Party 2016 Presidential candidate said...). This makes me wonder if Fox is paying Google to generate alerts which will drive libertarians to its sites.

I hadn't previously associated this problem with a recent Google update but the timing looks right to coincide with what this article says happened. I've been flagging a lot of alert content as irrelevant since about then. I even sent a separate feedback to Google documenting the tacked on sentence problem. I have not heard anything back and the problem is still occuring.
