Courts or Social Media Witch Hunts
If Bill Cosby did drug women to have sex with him, he is in the wrong. If he raped women, he is wrong. If the women knowingly took drugs and knew they were in a possible compromising situation, then they need to take some of the responsibility.
We need to foster an environment where all abuse can be reported when it happens or reported at any time. However, it is best to report it when it happens.
It is clear that our society is fed up and are using Social Media Witch Hunts to get their points heard since the court system has failed them. This is one way to get the message out about sexual abuse.
The issue is, these Social Media Witch Hunts can turn into Salem Witch Trials. You are no longer innocent until proven guilty and a person is guilty if they don't fight back. It can destroy a person's life, career, self esteem just because a marriage or relationship failed or someone doesn't like you or someone is covering up their own wrong doing. I suspect these Witch Hunts will spawn more discussions, more lawsuits, destroy more relationships, and create unrest and violence in our society.
I don't have all the answers.
I suspect Wilt Chamberlain will be the next target, since he boasted in his book of having sex with 1000's of women while playing basketball. Oh wait...He's dead. That won't matter.
