There is law and there is justice and sometimes the twain shall never meet. Then there is however history's judgment profound and irrevocable. Our feelings about Nazis or Pol Pot cannot be swayed by a story on the news or a documentary. The evidence is seared into our brains, with the image of train car loads of bodies or a stack of human skulls. We see the end result and wonder"How could they do such a thing? Couldn't they see this coming?
We sit in the cooking pot and we don't feel the temperature rising. CNN published an article "What Progressives Should know about Trump Voters?" They praised the fine economy and the tax cuts but failed to ask the question hanging in the sky like Jupiter. "What's wrong with these people?" Now, let's forget every word spoken by a Democrat. For the next five minutes Democrats don't exist. Jim Mattis: "the president acted like and had the understanding of a 'fifth or sixth grader.'" Crazy, ignorant. Child-like, short attention span, narcissist, racist, misogynist.
"Although he was elected as a Republican, the president shows little affinity for ideals long espoused by conservatives: free minds, free markets and free people. At best, he has invoked these ideals in scripted settings. At worst, he has attacked them outright. In addition to his mass-marketing of the notion that the press is the "enemy of the people," President Trump's impulses are generally anti-trade and anti-democratic." Anonymous New York Times Op Ed
The press as the enemy of the people, anti-democratic and CNN inverts the issue turning it inside out. Are the trains running on time? That autobahn is a real marvel!
Trump has decapitated the Department of Homeland Security firing Secretary Kirsten Neilson. Neilson proved her Trump medal testifying before Congress claiming there was no plans to separate children from their parents. Of course, not surprising, Trump soon threw her under the bus. But in the Trump administration that's to be expected. The administrations official position has little or nothing to do with its actual position.
"From the White House to executive branch departments and agencies, senior officials will privately admit their daily disbelief at the commander in chief's comments and actions. Most are working to insulate their operations from his whims.
Meetings with him veer off topic and off the rails, he engages in repetitive rants, and his impulsiveness results in half-baked, ill-informed and occasionally reckless decisions that have to be walked back." Anonymous New York Times Op Ed
The details appeared of Trump calling Neilson at home demanding actions which were both illegal and impossible. The largest single outcry of the American public came from the Trump Administrations separating migrant children from their families. But now with Mueller tucked away in his pocket Trump demands more! More cruelty. More child separations! Shut down the border he cries"where will this end? How much is enough?
It is true candidate Trump parroted the Nazi Adolf Hitler in his campaign by scapegoating minority groups, but we can't say that Trump is a Nazi. It is true that once in office Trump used his office to persecute said minority group just as Adolf Hitler did. It can be shown that Trump has little respect for the laws and customs of this nation with a complete and total disregard for the Constitution of the United States. He doesn't like the press or judges; he wants to do what he wants to do which is wantonly cruel and a crime against humanity. What's that CNN? What do I need to know about Trump supporters? Here's what I know, they don't care about babies taken from their mother's and locked into cages. It never occurs to them that these "camps" are concentration camps that are locking people up in because of their national origin. These camps are completely unsupervised"anything goes in an administration which views secrecy as their divine right.
Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein, The UN High Commissioner for human rights said, "The thought that any state would seek to deter parents by inflicting such abuse on children is unconscionable, I call on the United States to immediately end the practice of forcible separation of these children."
The 2009 Kampala Convention lists prohibited categories of arbitrary displacement, including "displacement used as a collective punishment"
Under international law, President Trump is a criminal under the Republican Senate shelter he is a protected ward.
Under the judgement of history, Trump is guilty, and a Nuremberg court would order him hung by the neck until dead. But it's not just Donald Trump who is guilty"it's all of us. Millions upon millions of Germans had nothing to do with concentration camps. They had nothing to do with a government that lied to the people as official policy. Maybe they were shop keepers or letter carriers, but they were still guilty.
"I'm going to have to call up more military. Our military, don't forget, can't act like a military would act. Because if they got a little rough, everybody would go crazy." -Donald Trump
Inhumanity and cruelty are inescapable crimes. We are all guilty and history will judge us so. The image of the United States of America is being dragged to its lowest place ever. We have become the monster; we are the Nazi's now. No amount of flag waving or hosannaing can change it. The taint is on us and won't wash off. The President must be arrested and charged with crimes against humanity.
