I recently received the following article from a friend who is a Canadian Citizen and, since I'm a US and Canadian Citizen, he wanted my opinion:
I found myself in complete agreement with the article. However, having attempted to focus on exactly WHY the US is so dysfunctional has been part of what I, for over fifty years, have come to think of as my Civic Duty. While the US is almost daily becoming a slow motion international disaster in the making, the underlying causes are only discernible by a very astute and attentive few.
Perhaps, in order to help you visualize what I'm talking about, it will more easily be understood if I use a movie analogy. What we perceive today to be our political process could more readily be viewed as a movie soundstage. We have movie sets with actors moving about and reciting lines. There are stage crews manning lights, cameras and action to draw us in and maintain our attention, but what we the audience are never allowed to view, are the secret credits for this, our realtime movie.
So, who wrote this script? Who is providing the financing? Who is directing and who is producing this realtime movie in which the vast majority of us are nothing more than audience or perhaps extras? Those are the questions that I have been seeking answers to, for all of these years.
Like Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece 2001, we could go all the way back to primitive man and imagine that our movie started then. However, since we are now living in the short attention age of Twitter Awareness, I'll cut to the more recent scenes in our movie that, with one small exception, started in the Twentieth Century.
That single historical exception has to do with the financing of our movie. Who in the world has enough money to finance such an extravagant and long running movie with locations all over the world? Well, my research has found that there is one banking dynasty that seems like a prime candidate. They have a multi-century history of not only amassing unimaginable amounts of money, but using their vast wealth to influence and manipulate the various realms of not only banking and finance, but international politics, media and war, as well. It is difficult to individually identify and create a structural management chart of this family, since they have for centuries willingly, and through marriage, frequently changed their names.
However, it is widely acknowledged by various scholars that for several centuries they have been the driving and controlling force behind the establishment and management of an international system of central banks (click here to see list). An additional difficulty arises by even mentioning the dynasty name, as it invites claims of racism and/or anti-Semitism -- which is totally irrelevant in the context of our imaginary movie " in spite of the initial, profound and long running affect that the Jewish culture has had on Hollywood.
Other candidates as producers or assistant producers could readily include members of the 1% who comprise the wealthiest among us. I'm referring to those titans of industry, finance, media, et al., who manage and wield enormous wealth, and thus power, over the rest of US, the audience.
So now we are at the point, in our wide-screen list of rolling secret credits, where we can try to determine who wrote and is directing this realtime movie. In order to gain some historical perspective, let's go back to the late 1930's when FDR was our Democratic President. Roosevelt was, by many of the wealthy of his day, considered a traitor to his class since he was born into a wealthy family and yet created social programs that benefited those without privilege. As a result, a powerful group of wealthy individuals who opposed most of FDR's social programs, banking reforms, and his opposition to the rise of fascism in Europe -- attempted a failed coup.
However, after Roosevelt's demise and the end of World War II, a small representative group of these American fascist elites convinced the new President Truman of the need for a government supported secret spy network that was eventually to be named the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The justification that they used, was that it was to combat the rising "Red Menace" of Russia. and that a large part of their new spy network should be composed of former Nazi spies, who already had in place an established Russian spy network.
By the end of President Eisenhower's two terms as President, as well as the close of the 1950s, our secret producer(s) in collaboration with our secret CIA group of writers and directors were a fully functioning secret government that was into making realtime movies -- and they particularly LOVED making War Movies!
Why do they love making war movies? Because they are SO profitable. Besides creating and then destroying the most expensive scenes and props, the audience could easily be sold on getting involved as active audience-participants. When one war movie was over, more money could be made on refining and updating all of the devices of destruction for a new and improved war movie, complete with fresh generations of young audience-participants.
Meanwhile, our movie moguls use our industries to provide just enough minimum wage jobs to support a docile populace. We, as low information Consumer Units are, through the expertly manipulated media, propagandized and marketed into being impotent but eager audience members of the entire movie industry.
The first and last President to become aware and an active critic of this secret movie industry, was John Kennedy. Very early in his Presidency, he came to realize and tried to stop the entire secret movie making business. He attempted, among other things, to close the Federal Reserve Bank, break up the CIA, withdraw our troops from Viet Nam, opened peace seeking back-channel communications with the heads of Russia and Cuba and began making speeches advocating for international peace.
