Lately I've seen a dramatic change in the attitude of the American people. This article will not be a political rant or a tirade against this modern American facsimile of the American "New Roman Empire", rather it will delve into the mindset of the American public.

I have been writing for a decade about our economy and the wealth going to the top 10% of the richest, while the bottom 80% of the wealth of the bottom 80% of the American people hold only 8% of the largest economy on the planet. I've beaten my head against the wall writing about American military involvement in other nations. I've railed against the crime of tearing Libya and Iraq apart while this nation went deaf and dumb.

I don't have to do that anymore. There are others, many others that are doing that job, and doing it well. People like David Swanson, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, Chris Hedges, David Sirota and many more, too many to mention in a short article I thank them all. They are fighting the good fight and are helping to awaken the American people... and they are succeeding.

Still. I wouldn't be writing this unless I had something to say, and believe me, I always have something to say. Some of you may not agree with me but I'll put it out anyway. That is what I do and I'm not about to stop now.

First of all, don't give up on the American political process.I id for many years and for good reason. We all know why. The Democrats are no better than the Republicans when it comes to income equality and foreign policy. They are owned by multi-national corporations that control our mass media, Congress and yes, the Supreme Court and the executive office. This is the Military Industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. Probably (but not absolutely proven),the same nefarious group that killed JFK, RFK and MLK. But with an ever changing assortment of characters. What is new is that a large number of Americans are starting to realize this, and they are understandably enraged.General Smedley Butler told us in the 30's in his book "War is a Racket" Wars are fought to to increase the profits of corporations and banks. His words weren't taken to heart then, but they seem to be now.

John Perkins came out with "Confessions of an Economic Hitman", this book explains Greece and the Ukraine.the American people are becoming aware. The government is becoming aware of this also. We are living on the edge of the greatest social revolution of our time. Understand this and be aware.

Donald Trump is not an enigma. Bernie Sanders isn't either. They are reflections of a growing dissatisfaction with the American political system. While it is evident that both men are on opposite sides of the economic-political spectrum, they both resonate with the American people.Trump is superbly politically incorrect in the same way as Bill Maher is on the opposite side. Many are enchanted about the way he talks. Bernie Sanders offends the corporately controlled political system. Both men are confounding the people that have for too long pulled the strings of government in this nation. Although I abor Trump, both men have a place in this political system. They are agents of change...change that is long overdue.

Many people have opted out of the elections, I have to confess that I did too. They believe as George Carlin once said "That if you voted.you are to blame for putting in the bastards". To an extent he was speaking the truth. We as a society have had no real choice. Coke or Pepsi.

I'm not going out on a limb and telling you this time is different. There is too much time before the election. I'm sure that the powers that be have a plan to stop Sanders and Trump. They always have a plan.

All I'm saying here is that we must be aware. The pendulum is about to swing, whether it swings right or left is what matters. I am a Socialist. Capitalism in it's present form is killing the economic future of this nation. I think we all realize that. Predatory Capitalism is evil and vile. We need to be on guard. If it comes down to a race between Hillary Clinton and a Republican or Joe Biden and a Republican, nothing will change. We need to effect a change or we will get exactly what we deserve.
