Nurses, rounds, we almost got caught by them.

Door opened, Time for medications, sir.

Her husband cheated; now, she cheated, too.

She said she loved me and we talked of flight.

She had freckles, auburn hair, and her smile

opened up new channels; we gazed awhile,

one providing the other's second sight;

sessions passed, but then she began to rue.

Back to talking the traumas of my past --

broke through: the Good Soldier Svejk at last!
