A. It isn't. If it is meant to occur, the idea will go viral and the event spontaneously self-organize. There is no website, not even a Facebook page - nor should there be. It is a simple concept, after all -- On 11/22/13 at 12:30 p.m., from a handful to perhaps a million Americans can arrange their own travel and lodging, arriving in the most peaceful and orderly way at this very appropriate location. To the plaza itself, they should BRING NOTHING; absolutely no backpacks, chairs, tents, sleeping bags, radios, food/drink/coolers, etc No Starbucks coffee cups - NOTHING. No distracting clutter. Nothing to create the potential for even a single piece of litter. Imagine individuals spontaneously self-organizing into groups of perhaps six each, allowing one from each group to always remain on-site, maintaining the vigil - even a SILENT VIGIL - while their associates leave and return as scheduled among themselves, giving each other breaks to eat, or take care of personal business elsewhere. All that's necessary for this to happen is for the media to do its job and report, or "forecast," on what is only an idea, something that just might happen. The media makes weather forecasts all the time, why not forecast and report the prospect of an event likely to occur, even imminently, in Washington, D.C., on 11/22/13?
Q. Are there any concerns for violence?
A. There is no reason for concern; quite the contrary. All legitimately in attendance will adopt an almost reverential respect for orderliness and tranquility in the gathering Any in attendance who even speak loudly or disrespectfully towards each other, or those in authority - much less act violently - should be immediately shunned by all others in attendance. The same holds true for Dallas on 11/22/13 -- violence is only a tool of those likely planted and seeking to disrupt, to precipitate an excuse for government intervention, a recurring scenario in history. Everyone knows.
Q. Why the public plaza adjoining the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
A. It is a Memorial built to honor John Kennedy. So long as ANY of the 1100+ records related to his public execution remain secret, concealed by the government, John Kennedy is not being honored by the daily entertainment of thousands attending events at the Kennedy Center. It will be a day to rejoice when all the records have been made freely available to the public. Perhaps a SILENT VIGIL in the adjoining plaza will even prompt some ticket holders to spontaneously and voluntarily boycott their own entertainment until the JFK records are all made public; a matter for each person's conscience. Read the text of John Kennedy's historic speech to journalists that described Americans' fundamental abhorrence of secrecy, then ask whether John Kennedy himself would have wanted records of his own assassination kept secret. If you had been President Kennedy, would you?
Q. Do those who direct the Kennedy Center welcome this suggested use of the public plaza?
A. I hope they support it as an essential step to honoring John Kennedy by prompting release of ALL records still withheld pertaining to the assassination. Perhaps they may even open wide the doors of the Kennedy Center for those peacefully and respectfully gathered towards that end; not to suggest any unwelcome use or occupation of the Kennedy Center facility itself, only quiet and respectful use of the adjoining public plaza. Actually, those who direct the Kennedy Center could call the White House, or elsewhere - even today - and prompt immediate release of ALL as yet undisclosed records, precluding any reason for this vigil to ever begin - in the public plaza adjoining the Kennedy Center, in Dallas, or elsewhere, for that matter.
Q. Why seek the records? To persecute those once involved and still living?
A. No. Release of the records is essential to reversing the trend since John Kennedy's murder towards ever greater secrecy in government. Transparency, restoring of respect for and adherence to the Constitution and its processes is essential. For those fearing retribution for their historical actions, or inactions related to John Kennedy's assassination and subsequent cover-up, they should be shown God's grace: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God." (John 3:16-21)
Q. Should Americans be afraid to assemble for such a vigil, in Washington, D.C.?
A. "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." (1John 4:18). None should be afraid to peacefully assemble, seeking release of the records and restoration of our Constitutional Republic.
Q. Who are you? What has encouraged your conceptualization and communication of this idea? '
A. Karl Golovin, Email address removed , @KarlGolovin . By God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. The seminar in non-violence at The Gandhi Institute, Rochester, New York, www.gandhiinstitute.org. And I just visited the Kennedy Center gift shop, finding a refrigerator magnet that portrays, in red and blue letters on a white background, this quote attributed to John Kennedy: "One person can make a difference, and everyone should try."
