There is one condition under which Americans don't mind being a "we" society. It's war.
They can die for us all they want. We call them brave. We give their surviving family members little metal toys that were probably made in China or Vietnam. Wouldn't that be a yuk, hey? Give our "brave" dead soldiers a metal made by slave labor in a country that swallowed the lives of 58,000 American soldiers.
We are such an easy target. Isn't it surprising to you that people from some corner of the world haven't yet done to today's "native Americans" what Western Europeans did to those indigenous people who were living here, minding their own business in the 16th and 17th centuries? It is to me.
