Like our Virgo work, this Father's Daughter has to work out the kinks in her self-awareness (the sun dress); in her unconscious emotional intelligence (the moon dress); and in her creative imagination and spirituality (the star dress). Between each ball she returns to her mantle of furs to continue the hard work of discernment, patiently honing herself to become the vessel of her spirit. In doing this, she unites with this earthy new king and discovers her freedom and her unique way of doing things.

So this new Moon, plant your seeds again. Only this time, discriminate between what you really want to grow into and what you think you need to grow into. Plant the seeds that will bring you to your greatest fruition. Plant the seeds of your heart's desire.

Speaking of desire, both Venus and Mars are still in Libra, helping us remember to be fair to each other and to ourselves. Venus, at 29*49' Libra on the new Moon, is now in the shadow degrees of her retrograde, meaning that when she turns retrograde on October 8 at 14* Scorpio, she will retrograde back to 28* Libra when she turns to direction motion on November 18th (the same day as Jupiter turns direct). Venus goes into Scorpio a few hours after this new Moon. What you think you want now might not be what you want by November 18th. Keep working on listening to your heart and start removing the barriers that hold your heart's truth hostage. Venus' retrograde through Scorpio will strip us bare and kill off what's dead. What survives will be beautiful, true and unique to your soul's mission in the coming years.

Jupiter will retrograde back into Pisces a few hours after this new Moon as well. Jupiter, the energy of curiosity and expansion, faith and optimism raced through Pisces from January 17, 2010 to June 5, 2010, when it entered Aries along with Uranus. But it will now retrograde back through 24* Pisces and stay there until January 22, 2011, when it once again enters Aries. We still have some learning to do about compassion and faith both for the world and for ourselves.

Mercury turns direct on September 12 at 6* Virgo: Excited Children ride a blatant, gaudy merry-go-round. The turning circle of life with its ups and downs can be fun if you see life with the eyes of a child. Don't be so hard on yourself and the work you still have to do. Consciousness depends on your life experiences and you'll be having those experiences until the day you die if you're lucky. Mercury stopping here wants us to remember to take on life's challenges with the excitement and sense of wonder and discovery of childhood. Time to get away from the critical judgments and worries and realize that it's just LIFE!

Pluto goes direct on September 13th at 3* Capricorn: Whispering spirit waiting in darkness to be born. What a great image for Pluto turning direct! This is the degree for Christmas Eve and implies that spiritual beginnings often arrive in darkness and mystery. This is a symbol of unconditional spiritual love which wants to manifest, just as Winter Solstice is the rebirth of the divine light of life. These past five months when Pluto's been retrograde have been intense, with Pluto squaring off with Saturn and Uranus and Jupiter. Pluto is the great mystery of death and rebirth. The god Hades/ Pluto, along with his wife Persephone the goddess of Spring, rules the underworld and its treasures of new life that are accessible when we allow the old to die gracefully. What in our society (Capricorn) has died in the past five months since Pluto went retrograde on April 6? What has died in you that now has left room for new growth? After Pluto turns direct, own your power, own your shadow, take responsibility for your life. The change within you is that whispering spirit that wants to be born.

Remember, Virgo is associated with ritual magic. Take time this new Moon to create a ritual of Self-blessing. Name your best qualities and talents as well as your shadow aspects that you'd like to heal. The best time to do this is Tuesday night since the new Moon is in the early morning on the 8th.

Bright blessings on us all.
