But you don't hear that from anybody else. You don't hear it from anybody else."
Now let's look at the bait and switch on 3 issues: Trump's independence being based on self-funding, immigration, and jobs, the basis of his "populist" appeal.
Populism is used by all fascist parties to disguise despotism, using the megaphone of propaganda and the Big Lie. Bait and switch is at the heart of the fascist fantasy.
Self funding:
Outspoken billionaire Donald Trump remained true to form during his presidential announcement speech Tuesday, delivering a rambling talk of 30-plus minutes that touched on a multitude of subjects, including jobs, immigration and wealth -- but mostly China and Mexico.
"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people who have lots of problems (which include) drugs and being rapists."
"I'm using my own money. I'm not using lobbyists. I'm not using donors. I don't care. I'm really rich."
As of August 2016, Trump's Presidential campaign website was claiming he was corruption free because he was self-funding. "On his issue page, Donald Trump says that he is "totally" self-funding his campaign so that he doesn't "owe anything to lobbyists and special interests."
The reality is that Trump self-funded (while making money off RNC events at his hotels) himself in the general election by about 10% The total funding was just above 500 million and " As of Oct. 19, he's put $56.2 million of his own into the campaign" bloomberg
So self-funding is just part of his Big Lie. Proof of the pudding is that he has appointed 4 billionaires and 3 generals to run the show.
IMMIGRATION : In an interview that aired in September 2015 on CBS' 60 Minutes, Scott Pelley pressed Trump about what he would do with the population of immigrants denied legal status.
