I wonder what would happen if a leader of a Muslim nation said publicly of Muhammed, "Well, the Prophet was wrong about that."
I think that person would be sent to speak with the Prophet with dispatch.
But here, in America, Donald J. Trump disagrees with Jesus's express teachings and what happens?
Crickets.
That is remarkable.
According to the Gospel writers, Jesus spelled out what it means to be his follower. He was clear about what it means to be, as we now call it, a Christian. Simply, he said words and deeds matter. Together, what one says and what one does show who a true Christian. For example, Jesus said:
"You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
