Tending to your emotional journey means taking a moment to connect to the end result you're hoping to create before you engage in the action. You may spend four hours a week at the gym, but how much of that time are you actually joyfully anticipating and appreciating the results you're working so hard to achieve? You might spend six hours a week cooking, cleaning, or doing laundry, but it won't translate into the happy home you truly desire if your emotions are contradicting that end-goal while you're engaged in those tasks.
To tend to your emotional journey, allow yourself to contemplate the emotional energy of your heartfelt desire. What is the vibrational frequency of the beautiful, fit, flexible body you desire? What is the vibration of security, or of enjoying huge streams of lavish financial abundance? How does it feel to be engaged in intimate, connected, easy relationships with those you love? Conjure this energy and allow it to infuse your every action.
Step 7: Find something to appreciate about the exact place in which you now stand.
When it comes to how we approach the desires we hold dear and wish to manifest, we really have only two choices. We can choose to feel bad about everything that's not yet as we'd like it to be, or we can appreciate this moment in time as a work in progress that will naturally evolve into the reality we desire.
The word appreciate is interesting in that it has two distinct definitions that can help us to understand its broader significance. In an everyday sense, to appreciate is defined as "to be thankful or show gratitude for." But ask an accountant or venture capitalist the meaning of the word, and they'll tell you that appreciation is "an increase in the value of an asset over time." The fastest way to allow into your life more of what you desireboth in the form of the feeling essence that you're really after and in terms of the material possessions that you believe will deliver that feelingis to make it a daily, moment-by-moment practice to appreciate what you already have.
Appreciation is one of the most powerful, attractive, and magnetic forces in the universe. Everything that we nourish with the powerful energy of our appreciation expands, appreciates, and becomes more. Gradually, as we give more focus to what is working and what is wanted, rather than to what isn't working or isn't wanted, the fulcrum tips and our desires come more quickly to fruition.
These are the 7 steps to manifesting any desire, and because they are based on universal principles, they work in relation to any desire, big or small; tangible or intangible.
It all comes down to you making the decision to lean more in the direction of where you're going than to dwell in where you've been. Make the choice to cultivate good-feeling thoughts and emotions, those that foster faith and assurance. Choose to believe that the best is yet to come. Choose to use the incredible power of your imagination to paint the picture of things turning out well and to use the incredible power of your emotions to deliberately conjure the corresponding joyful feeling state of having created all that you want.
