In Libya, the no-fly zone was used to bomb Libya in a criminal war that has destroyed the once most prosperous and advanced nation in Africa. No fly zones, claimed to stop the bombing, have been used as a prelude to massive bombing attacks.
2. But let us get back to the conflicting stories the "activists" are presenting: Here is another version of the lie: " A spokesman for the rebel Higher Military Council in Aleppo, Qassim Saadeddine, said the government had carried out a chemical attack.
And below is a conventional bomb.
"We were hearing reports from early this morning about a regime attack on Khan al-Assal, and we believe they fired a Scud with chemical agents," he told Reuters news agency.
Scud missiles, indistinguishable from a bomb? Unlike bombs, whether chemical or "conventional," scud missiles are propelled by liquid fuel and are not dropped but launched from the ground.
Scud missiles do not drop like bombs but are directed and are guided on a trajectory that gradually rises then gradually descends. In addition, they look nothing like bombs, being huge missiles with a length of 35 feet. No one would mistake a 35 ft missile, with a trail of smoke coming in at a mostly horizontal slope from a chemical bomb dropped from a plane.
In a court of law, conflicting stories is an indication of lying and thus suggestgs guilt. What shall we make of totally conflicting claims by those associated with the "opposition" which are swallowed whole without a shred of evidence, without an investigation, without considering that the claims imply a motive inconceivable (that Assad would sabotage his own success) and dismiss the totally credible motive of the "activists" to lie and thus advance their cause by suckering in US military force? This is not journalism but rather war propaganda; it is not logic but believing "by virtue of the absurd." It is a classic example of the propaganda technique of the Big Lie perfected by Hitler and employed by Trump in his campaign to win the Presidency and now to escalate yet another war, possibly leading to a confrontation with Russia. In the absence of reliable knowledge, those eager to fight will believe the most absurd lies on faith, with a certainty that justifies rising WWIII.
Conflicting stories, in no way compatible, are evidence of lying. Why then is the media, and both parties, and even Bernie Sanders,whom tens of millions thought to be the alternative to the neo-con web of deciet, believing it? WTF?
