10. Shebrew
Sarah Palin encountered a feel of the Russian gotcha journalism while her international travel. One of the Russian newspapers claimed her to be Jewish because Sarah was considered a Jewish name in Russia. Confronted with the identity crisis, her staff decided that to proclaim "I am not Jewish' would offend the Jews in the US but to proclaim "We all are Jewish' would offend some of her Christian supporters. Thus they came with the new definition Shebrew, which seemed to have even some bearish flavor in it. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the word came from "The Devil's Dictionary " by Ambrose Bierce, the famous liberal of the 19th Century.
