I know that my Tarot cards earlier predicted a Romney win. Master Hilarion says, and I always share with my clients, that any future prediction is based on conditions in the present but can always be changed because we have free will, and things change.
In fact, in his book: Nations, Hilarion says that the best prophet is the "False Prophet,' " whose prophecy has failed to come true, because by giving his prophecy he has encouraged people to change in such a way that that prophecy no longer needs to take place. That is the feeling that I had in sharing that earlier prediction. Essentially, based on conditions at that time, the lackadaisical Democratic Left was not likely to pull it together and overcome the energized right.
I still believe in what I wrote last December as being what may eventually prevail as far as the results of the election:
Astrologically, Barack Obama has a mix of positive/supportive and difficult/challenging aspects next year, notably on his Jupiter in Aquarius. Jupiter in Aquarius in positive aspect is the ability to bring together conflicting groups of people and inspire love and brotherhood between them.

On Saturday we had the now infamous comment about "Legitimate Rape' not causing pregnancy from Representative Todd Aiken from Missouri. This comment has brought the controversy over abortion to the forefront, including Paul Ryan's previous stances on abortion.
I decided to take this occasion to share what Hilarion said about the karma of abortion", from my book: The Astrological Karma of the USA.
Before pasting that material in, however, I just want to say how, when I heard the statement "legitimate rape,' it made me think of all the "legitimate raping' that has gone on in the course of American History. Rape of indigenous societies and their territories. Rape of the Earth and her resources. Rape of the poor for the sake of the rich, etc, all exhibiting the same heartless lack of sympathy for the actual suffering that is going on, as one can sense in the comments of Mr. Aiken.

Abortion:
There are various aspects of the American experience which relate to these"themes. There is one issue which clearly incorporates all three of these components: sex, birth and death. .. an issue which seems to be a much larger and more conflictive issue here in the U.S. than anywhere else in the world. The way in which we Americans experience the issue of abortion reflects all of the qualities" of 'feelings and emotions muddying up the reasoning ability,' i.e. 'fuzzy thinking' which was explained earlier. The karmic significance depends, to a great degree, on the motives and reasons behind the action which terminates the life of the fetus. Birth into earth incarnation is viewed on higher planes as a great opportunity for soul-advancement, for learning, and for spiritual progress Thus from "point of view of " soul that might have come into the world in the aborted fetus, the abortion is merely the shutting of a door, the loss of an opportunity to advance.
For the woman who arranges or assents to an abortion, the pivotal question is motive. If it is done for strictly selfish reasons, especially when "(the) child could have been welcomed and cared for, then the killing of the fetus is counted as an act close to murder in the scale of seriousness.
(There are:) persuasive reasons for terminating the pregnancy, reasons not related to simple selfish desires"where there is a threat to the mother's life or health, or where no family situation exists capable of providing a good early life to the child, then abortion is not taken to be In light of the above explanation I feel that both sides of the debate are lacking true spiritual compassion and empathy. The 'Right to Lifers' lack compassion for the individual conditions and motives of the mother, as well as her right to determine for herself what is or isn't justified. The 'Pro-Choicers' lack, in some quarters, a sensitivity and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the karmic reality arising from terminating the life of an unborn child.
So, is abortion right or wrong? Without 'feelings and emotions muddying up the reasoning ability,' one would have to say that the issue cannot be framed in such black or white terms.
