Now Americans appear to be to the right of even that arch-conservative president. Americans are advocating more war, more torture and more isolationism and much of this policy direction is due specifically to the media propaganda that has been feeding their international affairs diet for decades. With the continued steady feed of misinformation from the MSM one can only fear the extent to which American ignorance of their own global policy and true world events will grow into even more absurd foreign policy and further calamities.
We have only ourselves to blame, however. The world did not bar reality from the borders of the US. There is no attempt anywhere to hide information from reaching the American shoreline. It comes down to the fervent desire of Americans to isolate themselves from the truth and create a bubble wherein they can feel pity for their past mistakes without the remorse for continuing their disastrous effects. Plugging one's ears and closing one's eyes to the truth while screaming, "LALALALA," doesn't bring the dead back to life, nor retribution for those who have been wronged. Until America wakes up to its true role, and decides to be a beneficial world citizen and not a bellicose one, we will continue to harm others and destroy societies as much through our ignorance as through out misguided ambitions.
