Yup. Catch-33. Or was that 27? I don't know, I only watch Fox. Remember, they're fair and balanced and have both news and opinion.
Oh, news and opinion, you mean kind of like how we refer to our country as a democracy, until the democratic many want something for all, then the connected wealthy powerful few ensures that everyone is reminded that we're not a democracy, but, rather, a republic? Which is nothing but a canned phrase that's always inserted into the news that's not really news, or even something newsworthy, but is nothing more than a twisted opinion used to influence all those non-reading, non-thinking people and is then taken up by other non-reading, non-thinking people and parroted mindlessly?
And the difference between a democracy and a republic?
Not much, really, by definition, a democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives, while a republic is a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, see the difference? But it really doesn't matter now, does it? It's all right there neatly wrapped up in the catch. It's brilliant. No one but the best and the brightest minds in the greatest country on earth can come up with this.
Don't you really mean that all of these are Catch-22?
Oh, right, sure, whatever you say. I don't really care, it's not the catch that matters, it's the ideas.
Yes. Freedom. Democracy. Equality. Free speech.
Can I quote you on that?Ooohh, no! I never said any of this. We never had this conversation. If they ever knew I said any of this, I'd lose everything. I'd be in the same position as you. I'd have to run. I'd always be looking over my shoulder. I'd have to row to Sweden. I'll take the easy route. The sane route. Not upset the apple cart. I'll like them. I do like them. I'll always like them. You should like them. If you knew what was good for you, you'd like them too!
