This wanton assault is prosecuted not just against the people but their means of survival. In the ancient crusader city of Beirut there's only apathy for Arab-Muslim lives.

People, shelter, energy, food supply, medical care and clean water. All Lebanon's been declared a "legitimate terrorist target".

The incredible sour stench of rotting flesh spreads its macabre perfume through the rubble as civilian kills decompose, unreachable, in the decimated Lebanese infrastructure.

Responding to concerns that Israel was using "disproportionate" force by bombing Lebanon and killing hundreds of civilians, Dan Gillerman, Israel's ambassador to the UN said "Damn right we are."  Richard Perle, American Enterprise Institute, "...for as long as it takes and without regard to mindless diplomatic blather about proportionality."

This "intelligently" designed destruction is aimed at the Lebanese civilian population for not getting rid of Hezbollah and "necessitating" Israeli re-occupation.

Air attack bloodbaths aren't accidents not the collateral damage of self-defense but the deliberate depraved indifference of a policy of collective punishment, in effect, Kill one of ours, we'll kill fifty of yours.

"Army chief of staff Dan Halutz has given the order to the air force to destroy 10 multi-story buildings in the Dahaya district (of Beirut) in response to every rocket fired on Haifa" a senior air force officer told army radio. (Yahoo News)

Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, signed and ratified by both the US and Israeli governments, specifically prohibits collective punishment.

The United States has blocked every effort to put an end to this assembly line slaughter of our Lebanese brothers and sisters who are also Abraham's sons and daughters.
