The Wounded Knee Incident raised two kinds of questions. I'll let you answer them as you will, Dear Reader:
1) I know that government is incompetent and only private companies can do anything right, but Hey - do you think the NSA might have software capabilities as sophisticated as Skype (Microsoft) does?
2) If the software is smart enough to understand that it was me, not my friend, who had the injury, that I didn't own a knee brace but could use one in my present condition...
then perhaps the NSA is able to identify conversations about bombs and mass shootings and plots to overthrow the government, and they're out there enhancing our security, protecting you and me and John Q Public from the next terrorist attack.
But what do you think about Quaker Peace Marches
and demonstrations against fracking and Occupy Wall St? Surely, they wouldn't use widespread evesdropping and sophisticated natural language recognition technology to infiltrate legitimate political protest. That would be un-American.
