We're not in holding position very long before we went into attack mode.
[End of this particular story.]
Regarding the Iron Men of Metz, I recently found a video of them on YouTube click here, done or redone in more recent years (full color looks like a fair basis for this statement).
Interesting in itself, certainly for WWII fanatics, but particularly so for me. In the video you'll note some guy in camouflage uniform coming on to talk about the actual attack, captioned in the video as "Colonel H.R. McMasters." A quick image search shows this to be one and the same character, of a close handful of military goons now "guiding Trump" [please check this for yourself, lest I be mistaken in this observation]. It strikes me strongly that if this is indeed one and the same person, he is mentally stuck in fighting WWII, even though the war ended long before his time. I present this paragraph as "food for thought," regarding what "our leaders" are thinking and where they are operating from psychologically.
Lastly, for those who chose to believe in Tom Brokaw's "Greatest Generation," or for anyone who respects those who put their life at risk fighting fascism, I encourage us to fully and clearly recognize that Donald Trump is taking a dump not just on my Dad's tomb (he died two years ago, age 91, with a military funeral that he insisted on, casket atop my Mom's), but on pretty much everything the U.S. of A. allegedly stands for.
