Your book, Times Square Rabbi , was written in 1997. A lot of time has passed since then. It doesn't sound to me that you've lost one iota of your original passion. But, I'm sure there have been changes - perhaps in what you see on the street, in your work, in yourself. Can you talk about that a bit?

The passion has never abated. In fact, I am far more focused on rescues and writing. I also have a strong hand in New York, helping as a consultant to the Reciprocity Center set up by Adam Bucko. His vision is an extension of things I could not do - things beyond shelter. Offer kids dreams of college, digital photography, and other careers including art, and all in a backdrop of inner spiritual discipline and pride.
I have also been on a never-ending tour across America speaking at high schools, youth groups, parenting groups. I guess you could say I have spoken to more teens in the last decade than any other individual in America. Connecting with over 24,000 high school students, I do electric-charged seminars that have literally changed kids' lives. You have to remember, no one is really talking to our kids across the country. Kids are not a priority in America. And there is a flat out taboo about answering high school students' questions.
Let's pause here. When we return, Yehudah will tell us about what happens at his seminars and what he finds there, regardless of where that school is or its ethnic or socio-economic make-up. Don't miss it!
