While all this is going on do we hear any objection, any criticism or any comment whatsoever coming from the pathetic national media? Nothing but silence as this media pretends that nothing unusual is happening. In years past, we in America had the distinct privilege of listening to the greatest of journalists such as Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow who were fearless in their reporting of the facts; now we listen to a cadre of corporate-controlled robots that are a disgrace to the profession of journalism.
What is happening in America is more than tragic; we are watching as this nation is rapidly being transformed into a controlled state in which our democracy and our Constitution are under extreme duress, all in the name of national security and a fabricated war on terrorism. The people of America face the prospect of waking up one morning and discovering that this condition has become permanent and irreversible.
