On November 30, 2013, the notorious attacks by the Berkut (Ukrainian National Riot Police) on students and journalists occurred. At some point in the future, when we can look back upon the Maidan revolution, the real chronology of events will be documented for history.

This event, which occurred on one evening of a revolution that lasted over two months, changed world history as we know it. Suffice it to say that real investigations will need to be conducted to get to the bottom of a number of horrific allegations surrounding Maidan.

After December 1, 2013, and onward from that date, the Berkut (the "Golden Eagle" Ukrainian National Riot Police) stood and stood some more. They just stood.

They relied on shields, tear gas and rubber bullets to keep the militant onslaught of enhanced Molotov cocktails, stones, and homemade grenades from killing and maiming their ranks. They have been demonized throughout the Western world for essentially standing still--even though other policing agencies would have quickly resorted to the use of deadly force under the same circumstances. Let's not kid ourselves otherwise.

Hundreds of the Berkut were hospitalized and tens were killed. They were never given orders to take out or use live-round weapons until three hours into the Maidan assault that ended with the overthrow of Victor Yanukovych. They were firebombed, shot at, hit with homemade grenades--all with no orders to fight back. The video below should be clearer than the propaganda. The maligned Berkut did not fight back for two months. They simply stood.

This video, recording events on December 19, 2013, shows the makeup of the then still peaceful protesters. Look very closely. Students may be following, but the militants are in charge. The officer in the video was killed when his head was smashed with a stone.

During the Maidan protests, scenes like this became the norm in regional cities across Ukraine. The propaganda justifying the revolution falls apart as fast as you expose it to the light. On the day the revolution climaxed, the world was horrified to hear about snipers massacring the revolutionaries. The revolutionaries cried foul for as long as they could. The "Heavenly 100" were made that day. They were heroes that died for a new Ukraine.

The propaganda machines in Ukraine, the US, and around the world screamed about the violence perpetrated against the protesters by the riot police, until the Catherine Ashton  phone call was intercepted and released, and showed otherwise. Both the shooters and the victims belonged to the same group.

100 Heroes Were Needed, So 100 Heroes Were Made

The video in English shows that the shooters came from behind the revolutionary line. The shots were fired from buildings controlled by Andrei Paruby . No one entered without his permission. He went on to become the Minister of Defense in Ukraine.

When Berkut police were captured during the day of the shootings, the Ultra Nationalists showed their hand and the hollowness of the countries that supported them. In one instance, a captured policeman armed only with a riot club was decapitated .

The supposedly heavily armed riot police could not even rescue a fallen comrade as he was killed with a stone. The Berkut at this point were targeted with live ammunition and had to retreat. A longer version of the footage shows that the felled officer was the second one killed within a few minutes' time. The first had been kicked unconscious by the protesters, before they lifted a stone up high and killed him with it.

On the night of their great victory, the Maidan revolutionaries rolled out the former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko to address the crowds. They then announced all the new ministerial appointments. Even the Catholic priests and clergy were present. When you watch the footage of all this again, notice the movement in the crowd. They captured Titushki! The rebels brought people in front of the new ministers of Ukraine. All of them were watched and then removed for questioning.

After the Ultra Nationalists Won: the Victory Celebration

When you watch this footage , think about the fact that the entire new "moderate" government to which both the US and EU are giving billions of dollars is now passing almost directly into the hands of the extreme nationalist Dimitri Yarosh.
